To begin, read through the PAFCS Annual Conference Program (pdf) and make a note for yourself of one seminar (and its designated letter) that you want to attend in each session. We only listed the seminar by letter, not name, on the Registration Form so you will need to know the letter of each seminar.

Hotel Accommodations

Please contact the Desmond Hotel for your hotel accommodations: 800-575-1776 and mention Pennsylvania Association of Family and Consumer Sciences.

The room rate is $119 for a single or double, $134 for a triple, and $149 for a quad – plus tax.

Frequently Asked Questions

 

Q:  I have a stupid question ... who can I contact?

A:  There aren't any stupid questions! We're here to help ... just email us.

 

Q: I hate computers and/or don't have easy access to a computer to complete the registration form. Can I get form mailed to me?

A:  Sure! You'll have to email us (sorry ... we're not listing our home phone numbers on the internet:) and be sure to include your name and address in the email request.

 

Q:  I'm having trouble using this new form ... can I get some individual help?

A:  Sure! Email us for help.  Include your your name and phone number and we'll walk you through the forms.

 

Q:  This new registration form is so long and prints on so many pages.  Why can't you fix that?

A:  We agree that the form prints on too many pages. We are using Google Forms for your registration this year because the information you type goes directly into a spreadsheet and eliminates re-typing by our conference chairs. We're sorry that this form prints on so many pages, but that's due to the restrictions of using a Google form. We appreciate your support as we work to make the registration process for our Annual Conference easier for you and our volunteer planning committee members. You can print the forms back-to-back if your printer offers that option.

 

Q:  I want to talk to someone about all of this registration stuff ... can someone call me?

A:  Sure! But we can't post our phone number on the internet:) You'll have to email us for help.   Be sure to include your your name and phone number and we'll walk you through the forms.

 

Q:  Do I need Acrobat Reader to read the Conference Program? Where can I get it? 

A:  Yes, you'll Acrobat Reader to view the Conference Program. It's available as a free download at:

Q: May I submit my form on line or email it to the registration chair?

A: Because we cannot process purchase orders or charges, you need to mail a check with your registration payment. Registrations aren't complete without payment and it will expedite the registration process if you mail your Registration Form and check together to the registration chair.

 

Q: My friend and I are planning to come together. Can we both register on the same form? 

A: No. Please use one form for each registration. 

 

Q: I don't know my user ID or password. Can I still access the Registration Form? 

A: Sure! The Conference Forms are available to the public. 

 

Q: I don't know my PAFCS website user ID or password or it's not working. How can I get it? 

A: Your PAFCS website ID and password are different from your AAFCS userID and password, but that makes sense ... right? They're two different websites. We sent out userIDs and passwords when we launched our new site and are happy to provide you with it again. Simply Email us with your request and include your AAFCS membership number.

 

Q: I don't know my AAFCS membership number or expiration date. How can I find that information?

A: Contact AAFCS for your membership number. If you know your membership number, you can log into the AAFCS website to obtain your membership expiration date.

 

Q: What is PAFCS's refund policy?

A: Fees for missed meals, late arrivals, and early departures will not be refunded. Fees will be refunded, less a $20.00 processing fee, if cancellation or change resulting in a refund is received in writing by the registration chair no later than 10 business days after the close of the conference. After that date, fees are non-refundable. All refunds will be processed after the conference. Substitutions are allowed at no change. PAFCS is unable to process purchase orders or charges. Overpayments of $50.00 or less will not be refunded. No refunds will be issued at the Annual Conference.

 

Q: Can I get a receipt for my registration fee?

A: Sure.  For written confirmation and/or a registration receipt, please enclose a SASE (self-addressed stamped envelope) with your registration.

 

Q: To whom do I make my registration check payable?

A: Pennsylvania Association of Family and Consumer Sciences, Inc.

 

Q: Will any of the information I provide on the registration form be posted on the internet or this website?

A: ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! Rest assured that absolutely NONE of the information you provide will be posted on the internet or our website. Also, we do not provide your information to any vendors.
