President's Message … Dr. Sally McCombie invites you to join the PAFCS Celebration!
This year’s conference theme, “It’s a Jungle out There”: Do You Know Your FACS? sets the tone for an exciting and adventurous educational experience. Our knowledgeable planning committee will serve as your guides as you take a safari through an incredible range of sights and experiences in sessions presented by experts in all areas of family and consumer sciences. We promise that you will return home equipped with new ideas and knowledge to help improve the lives of individuals, families, and communities. Our program has been tailored with a variety of session topics to suit each participant’s needs for professional development.
Our esteemed presenters include Marilyn Swierk, our AAFCS President. Marilyn is a dynamic presenter with contagious enthusiasm for our profession. She will propose ideas for enhancing the profession, the professionals, and the programs. Jennifer Antkowiak, KDKA TV News Anchor, Author, and Caregiving Coach, has also agreed to join us. You’ll have the opportunity to share and learn about research and strategies on many of the critical issues facing individuals, families, and communities in the second century of FCS.
