Message from the President

Who was it that asked you to join? Who took a few minutes to talk with you about family and consumer sciences? I imagine that your mentor was proud of the profession and took time to share the highlights with you.  

I know that, you too, are sharing your excitement about the family and consumer sciences profession as you guide others … sometimes with only a few words or with an invitation to join you at a meeting. 

Other times, it’s simply by the pride you demonstrate in what you do every day. Your pride in family and consumer sciences is reflected in who you are. Family and consumer sciences isn’t something that we do, it is who we are and we’re proud of it!

And it’s when we all stand together and form a community, that our light beckons others to join us. PAFCS and AAFCS are strong organizations that are well positioned to make a difference in the lives of individuals, families, and communities in the 21st century.

I ask that you join me on a journey this year as continue to expand the influence of PAFCS and AAFCS and make a difference in the lives of individuals, families, and communities.
