PAFCS ByLaws

PAFCS Proposed ByLaws

The Revisions Committee, under the direction of Past President Mercy Ross, reviewed the Association’s Bylaws. Through the work of this committee, as well as the Board of Directors and Advisory Board, we are presenting to the membership amendments to the Bylaws for vote at the PAFCS Annual Conference on April 13, 2024. The proposed changes to the Bylaws are for clarity and consistency.

What is your role as a member of the Association?

During the Business Meeting at the Conference, under New Business, the chairperson will state, "By direction of the committee, I move the adoption of the recommended bylaws amendments."  The president will then place the motion before the membership and will ask for final discussion. As members, it is imperative to review the recommended changes.

When reviewing the proposed changes, the green is a recommended addition and red is a recommended removal.

During the meeting, the President will ask for a vote. Motions pass if two-thirds of the members present vote in favor.

  • Motion Passes. If the motion is adopted, the changes take effect immediately.
  • Motion Fails. If the motion fails, the current bylaws are still in effect with no changes.

Thank you so very much for your participation in the process. We appreciate your time and attention to detail as we align the bylaws in the best interest of our membership.
